What About Health and Safety?
Scaffolding 2000 is a family run business based in Ross on Wye Herefordshire. Our team of highly skilled and professional employees is headed by the directors Mark Dobbs and Lyndon Hardwick both of whom live in Ross. Scaffolding 2000 will comply with all of its legal duties in pursuance of providing safe & healthy working conditions for all sub-contractors working for them, and will take positive action to ensure that their works does not affect other contractors or the public.
We will co-operate with all those with an interest in Health and Safety, other sub-contractors and the enforcing authorities. We make sure that all persons are competent to carry out the duties asked of them and will provide all information, instruction and necessary training. It is our duties to ensure that all sub-contractors are consulted on any matter of Health and Safety will encourage positive sub-contractors participation.
All Scaffolding will be erected to suite HSE regulations and all sub-contractors and directors of the company have Health & Safety cards or are being placed on Health & Safety tests in due course. If any scaffolding is left uncompleted all access will be stopped and ‘Scaffold incomplete’ do not use notices will be displayed on it.
All Scaffolds will be inspected before use and only used if known to be in good condition. The scaffold will be inspected at intervals not exceeding 7 days, unless there have been other occurrences which may have affected the safety of the scaffold in which this should be reported immediately to Mark Dobbs or the office. Any accident should be logged in the accident book, which is always kept on company vehicles.
The appointed persons for any Health and Safety or welfare matters are Mark Dobbs and Lyndon Hardwick. To provide the company with additional assistance in Health and Safety matters, we will utilise the services of the HSE to make sure that regulations are kept up to date and will be amended annually. Risk assessments & method statements and copies of health & safety documents are available on request.
